Who we are
<Quantum|Chamitas> emerges as an educational initiative conceived within the ambit of the Global Quantum Education & Training Project led by Womanium and stands out as one of the select projects to have been honored with a microgrant from Unitary Funds. The project aims to introduce quantum computing to young girls in Venezuela and France aged 15–20, while also welcoming anyone interested in learning about these technologies. Our focus is to support young women, but <Quantum|Chamitas> is designed for everyone who wants to explore the quantum world. This initiative is committed to creating an inclusive and enlightened future in quantum technology by offering open-source, multilingual educational resources in Spanish, English, and French.
Our mission
Our core mission is to empower underrepresented young girls in STEM by providing them with tailored educational resources and mentorship. This initiative educates and inspires, creating a ripple effect of knowledge and empowerment across Venezuela and France. Our project addresses the critical lack of STEM educators in these regions. It fosters a scientifically literate generation ready to lead in the quantum technology ecosystem.
“I felt really comfortable, and we understood everything. Thanks to our tutor, Dafne [Carolina], everything was made very simple for us. Even though we had no prior knowledge of quantum computing, we grasped the concepts, understood bits, qubits, and the differences between them…”
— Andrea Moreno, 19 years old.
